FAQs
ARE CHEMICALS USED DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS ?

Pulp mold is produced using an environmentally friendly process that matches the sustainability of the final product. No chemicals are used, and a closed-loop system results in minimal excess water discharge. In addition, the drying process is energy-efficient and uses natural gas.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BUILD A PROTOTYPE?

Rapid prototypes are typically completed within 3–7 days. Performance prototypes depend on the design and complexity of the product.
HOW LONG DOES MOLD MAKING TAKE?

Basically, minimum lead-time to make a mold is 7-30 days depend on the design. Maximum lead-time is 30 days.
CAN PARTS BE MADE IN WATERPROOF?

SGP can add the environmental friendly water proof chemical in the products. As customer requirment.
WHAT TYPE OF MANUFACTURING PROCESS IS USED TO MAKE PULP MOLD?

Pulp mold is produced using a continuous manufacturing process that applies vacuum and air pressure to form a complex fiber matrix onto precision-designed tooling. The molded parts are then automatically transferred to an in-line drying system and, once dried, are fully ready for packaging or additional processing.
MOLD MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR CAN BE DONE IN YOUR HOUSE?

Yes, of course. We can repair it immediately and it can be modify it to fit for your product.
CAN PARTS BE MADE IN CUSTOM COLORS?

Generally, pulp-mold products are available in 100% post-consumer recycled gray and 100% post-industrial recycled brown. Our pulp-mold cushioning and proprietary equipment are designed to accommodate different material preparations, and custom color requests can be evaluated upon request.
WHAT INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO DEVELOP A PRICE QUOTATION?

Without a pulp-mold drawing or sample: A firm price quotation can be developed based on a preliminary design, product dimensions, and estimated annual quantity.
With a pulp-mold drawing or sample: A quotation is normally provided within 3 days.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER COST ADVANTAGES TO USING PULP MOLD?

Pulp-mold provides additional cost savings through low disposal costs, easy packing, and minimal warehouse space requirements. Its nestable, space-saving design reduces storage volume, which directly translates into lower warehouse and logistics costs.
